Sadmon’s Debut Projects

Young as it is, Sadmon has already offered project consultancy to big organizations such as John Snow Incorporated (JSI) (Injection Safety 2005/2006) and National Department of Education (AIDS School Week 2005) Developing media Information Educational Communication (IEC) material for Educators and Learners. The outcome of the aforesaid projects was a good success.



Project Managing Khomanani Programme

A succinct summary of the roles and responsibilities of Sadmon in the Khomanani Programme is as follows:

  • Playing the leadership and facilitating role from the initial stages of bidding for the Khomanani Programme and throughout the project processes of developing, coordinating, implementing and managing the Khomanani Programme;

  • Creating the mass media communication strategy (“the Communication Strategy”) for KCC, in consultation with other KCC members;

  • Drafting and proof reading KCC’s Communication Strategy document for discussion with KCC members;

  • Playing a leading role in the internal processes of KCC when discussing the draft and final Communication Strategy documents;

  • Delivering and discussing the final Communication Strategy document to client for approval;

  • Managing the brainstorming workshop sessions with the creative teams when developing content and messages aimed to be communicated by KCC to the public as campaigns;

  • Scheduling the campaign periods and managing all the internal processes to ensure that the campaigns run on schedule and within the allocated budgets;

  • Procuring 3rd party service providers that play a role in the delivery of the Khomanani Programme;

  • Managing the service delivery of the appointed 3rd party service providers to ensure that they deliver upon KCC’s instructions/orders in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions of service;

  • Managing the business relationships between KCC and the appointed 3rd party service providers and between the latter and client;

  • Issuing instructions/orders to appointed 3rd party service providers based on client’s requirements;

  • Providing training and development to the personnel that implements “door to door” campaigns for the Khomanani Programme’s community action;

  • Acting as the communication channel between KCC, appointed 3rd party service providers, media companies and DOH;

  • Acting as the communication channel at media conferences on behalf of KCC.



Research, Monitoring and Evaluation

Given increase in focus on research, monitoring & evaluation in the public health and many other social programmes, Sadmon is working in partnership with a Public Health consultant, to ensure that the Khomanani project management is coupled with solid monitoring and evaluation for the purposes of assessing efficiency and impact.
